A serious expression marred his gentle and freckled face, his brows were anchored down and it appeared to scowl ever so slightly. This was tense for him, he was unsure of what this lion queen would think of a misbehaved dragon and a sorry excuse for a chief. His dad probably would have known what to do; he would have down this better… With a broad frown, he continued his eyes upon the dark strands of green, only able to see her massive paws. Finally her clearly resonating voice ordered him to rise and he heaved off his knee and stumbled upon his prosthetic when reforming to full height, feeling Toothless’s broad skull helping him to stabilize his small sway.
Silence overtook the two and even the others who were gathered which caused Hiccup to gulp ever so slightly. Toothless still looked a bit crestfallen, his droopy facial-nubs were apparent and he sagged in his shoulders. It was clear he still felt bad with his methods of demanding attention. Finally, Sarabi began to speak once more and his face brightened along with his pal, they were pardoned. Then there was the ‘but’ and he stiffened with a nod, there were always ‘buts’. Realization saturated his features and he fully realized his own mistake, it was true he wasn’t even aware of the premise to this army. Berk is quite secluded from the world, always has been even in the new spot it claimed. Very few are able to invade a land coated in dragons but with that meant very little information came as well.
“I.. I see,” he furrowed his brows, possibly embarrassed by this blatant response. He seemed like quite the inadequate leader; hopefully this didn’t mean she would be displeased. He slipped his hand into his satchel and withdrew a thick set of parchment and hesitantly approached a bit. Toothless remained where he was and watched Hiccup as the man unfolded the wad of paper and reveal a roughened sketch of a map.
“I drew the map of what I’ve seen while coming here…. And that’s Berk,” he pointed his finger at the large formation in a body of water. The Scot’s area was near that but he didn’t think he had to pointed that out; he traced his finger the route to this location. “Uninformed would be the correct label, we’re pretty cut off from the rest of the world and we are still trying to get acquainted… We never were used to having people this close to us back in our old spot,” as he figured she had enough staring he placed the paper back within the nest of other maps and took his steps backwards respectfully.
“I know very little about this war and why it’s even happening, I initially intended to visit both leaders and talk. Yours happened to be the closest… your majesty,” he added the respectful title realizing he rambled a bit. If she had no intention to fight him, it means the other faction is to blame? Or is it personal? “Could you tell me about this other force and why this war is occurring?” he asked, brows hitched upwards. He was hoping he could reason his people out of this conflict but if his noble lioness if fighting then… It seemed serious.
