Feb 12th. On a hillside somewhere between the Village, and the castle itself. Open to Tod, Esther, and Dodger, others may join if they so desire. Weather is kind of chilly, as if it's about to rain. Time is late evening.
Despite having grown up a domesticated farm boy, there was little about the woods that phased Tod. Likewise, due to that very background, there was little about the human world that likewise did the same. He was just as comfortable running through streets and roads as he was bounding through the underbrush and fields. Patrols had become a rather tedious chore for him then. Traveling as far out as the great Castle that made up Forteresse De Chambord and back to Arendelle over a period of a few days bothered him not. He was a fox, a creature of the woods.
Or so he liked to tell himself.

The truth was, he wasn't all that comfortable up on the old railroad grade. He had been told to patrol as much of it as he could. Subtly, of course. In such a way that anyone who didn't know wouldn't be attracted to the fact that the Enchanted Suns was showing interest in the ribbons of iron that bounced in and out of existence. Perhaps it was the fact that the last time he had been on such a construction, his relationship with his one time best friend had been twisted forever against him. A thought that he pushed to the back of his mind. The tracks had vanished a while back, but already he could see the next stitch of them poking out of the grade just ahead. This was the last bit of tangible iron before one reached the open fields that boarded the provincial town.
Tod stood on the hillside, at the very edge where the woods ended and the field of goldenrod began. His ears perked and tail strait up. A quick scramble through the field, along a fence, and a single bound over a small trickle of drainage water, and he was plodding down the dirt road that eventually turned back into track. Around his neck, a black collar hung with a tag. The tag had emblazoned on it the symbol of Arendelle's armed home guard. A small token to tell hunters that he was not to be messed with.
"Alright, just a little bit more and we can turn around and start for home," The vulpine said to himself as he trotted. His bushy tail fluttering behind him like the flag of a ship. A chilly breeze rustled the fur on his back. "Yeah....two days 'till I see Vixey again. I really need to stop doing these long patrols."
A soft rustle caught the fox's attention, and his whole demeanor changed. His poise instantly changing from relaxed and informal to instantly ready for flighty. His tail dropping inline with his body, and his head and shoulders declining so that his belly practically touched the earth. "Whose there?" Tod called, steadying his voice. "I'm a member of the Enchanted Suns, would not be wise to mess with me."
