Zira's face had a flat, neutral expression. She was a blank canvas, keeping all emotions in check as a good soldier and a good hunter should do. If one wasn't close, a flick of an ear or the curl of a tail tip was the only thing that would give away that this beast standing before the ice queen was not just a statue. She kept her face predatory, still, calm. No need to let Elsa know the cut above her head was throbbing or the fact her body was full to the brim from nose tip to tail tip with excitement and good anxiety. She let out a slow breath.
The Cursed Thorns had won.
“Put me down! I'm not your personal trophy!”
Her head slowly turned to watch the tiny dog struggle with Sabor. She smirked. Didn't that dog know Sabor could shred her to pieces if Zira so much as nodded to her? The gears started to turn in her head, faster and faster."We'll leave." Of course you will, good girl, Zira thought to herself. But from one queen to another, she was going to let Elsa speak before she opened her own jaws. "We can't simply walk away..."
Zira's eyes flowed over the Suns and she finally gave away her delight. Her jaws didn't part but a low, sick chuckle flowed from her muzzle. They were so battered. So bruised. So hurt and lost. Blood painted the floor of the forest and most of it wasn't Thorn blood. She did do a quick once over of her own team. No where near as battered. A few bruises and scrapes. Although she did give Lorelei a little glare as she snapped at a soldier. Royals were talking and this was no time for the girl to taunt. But, she was young and excitable. A few more battles would beat the bravado out of her yet.
The queen of the outlands couldn't help but let out a small gasp as Elsa worked her magic. She would never get used to it. "Very well," she said, examining her claws casually, "We'll let you leave. However..." She rolled her head towards Sabor. "The golden dog stays until we walk away safely and unharmed. I believe that ship has sailed for you on that point, now hasn't it?"
She stalked next to Sabor. "Keep it until we go over the hill we came down. Then you may let it go." May being the key word. She turned her nose to Varian. She had no idea how these wagons worked and the boy seemed smart. And unharmed. "Take the horse...drive the wagon. However you humans do it." She was now barking orders.
"Shenzi, Lorelei keep an eye on the rest of them," she snarled, "If they so much as move a muscle before we get over that hill I want you to slaughter them as they watch that poor pathetic defenseless puppy get shredded by leopard claws."
Truly she hoped that one of the Suns would make a move in the wrong direction so Sabor could enjoy her taste of blood. Alas, they had to wait. She pointed a claw at Violet as she started to lead the brigade back to triumph and victory.
"Watch that one especially," she snarled, "She can disappear at a moment's notice. Though..." She lifted her claws and ran her tongue over them. "I think you'll smell her blood."
