Elsa received a similar response to most of her inquiries to if they were thirsty or not. The general dismissive laugh, Violet was respectful as always still referred to her with royal term which was entirely fine by her. If that's what she felt most comfortable resorting to, it wasn't out of the ordinary for her. She allowed a fond smile, trying her best to allow some tension to release from her shoulders as the younger girl placed a supportive touch to her arm. She looked to Anna as she finally responded, laughing softly and then letting her gaze fall as she held the bottle within her slender fingers. The contents were freezing beneath her very touch, chilling the water and decorating the edges with a curled frost. It was harmless, not the jagged and sharp shards that normally resulted from her touch when she was anxious and out of control.
This time they curled, decorating the fabric and leather with curled outlines, soothed by the presence of both Violet and Anna doing their best to put her at ease. She was a worrier. She knew that.
"Well.. Maybe I am." she admitted a little sheepishly. Then she looked over her shoulder as they walked when Mulan spoke up, triumphantly turning a smug grin upon Violet and Anna. There was an 'Aha!' air about the quirk on her lips and she waved the bottle accusingly at both of the other girls.
"See, someone was thirsty after all!" Elsa defended, as if she'd known it all along. She'd have thanked Mulan for accepting the invitation to drink if it didn't feel a shade too far into the crazy side of validating her excessive worrying. Had she the time to quip back to Anna's joke, Elsa just might have taken the opportunity. Instead she was completely derailed by a sudden alarm in the from of tiny yapping that at any other day might not grip her heart with such a fear.
"Wh, Angel?" she stammered. All amusement and joy was gone, replaced by a firm line of worry that shaped her face visibly. The wagon was coming up on her, and she turned around as Mulan deduced the same thing to Angel's alarm. She froze a moment, realization that her worst fears for this trip could very well be being confirmed. The anxiety that spiked in her heart was one thing, the need to take action and visibly see Angel safe and with them was another.
"Stay with the wagon." she ordered. It wasn't a request, Violet and Anna were better protected with Mulan and their couple of soldiers present. With the warrior further back it made more sense for her to quickly move forward, without further delay the Queen was off and she was thankful for pants rather than a skirt. She sprinted up the road towards the bend that had Angel just out of their view, hearing the barks and yaps get closer with each stride. Each step left a slick icy print no bigger than the sole of her boot that cracked into the surface of the road with shimmering blue. Strands of hair were falling loose from the neat braid that cascaded behind her form, but Elsa didn't care about looking orderly like royalty right now, not with the barks of Angel ringing like white noise within her ears.
"Angel!" she called, doing her best not to sound panicked should it be a false alarm, but it was laced within her voice, "Come back!" the second half was delivered with more of a plea than the order she'd dropped when she'd left the other three behind.
