Scamp the basics full name • Scamp nicknames • Whirlwind, Tenderfoot, Sport, Scamperoo, Scampers… age • Three years primary standing • Fledgling secondary standing • N/A for right now; can be trained into another role as we see fit (possibly a recruiter?) faction • Gilded Wings species • Cainis lupus familiaris (Genuine mutt) gender • Male; he/him sexuality • Heterosexual the appearance origin • Lady and the Tramp/Lady and the Tramp 2 height and weight • 1'10" at the shoulders; 25 lbs overall appearance • Scamp is the spitting image of his father. He’s a short gray dog, with features along the likes of some breed of terrier – floppy ears and scruffy fur. His muzzle, underbelly, and the circles around his eyes are all a lighter gray-taupe color. His eyes themselves are brown, with thick and expressive black eyebrows above. Around his neck is a teal collar, with a gold diamond-shaped tag hanging off of it. the personality overall personality • At his core, Scamp is kind of a dork. However, he so desperately wants to be seen as independent, possibly even mature. He has a general distaste for listening to authority, especially when strict rules are involved. Though he understands that he’ll be better for adhering to advice given by his elders in the long run, it also makes him feel stifled – which, in turn, leads to his rebellious nature. Despite this, if the one who is giving him the orders is not talking down to him or making him out to feel like he’s a nuisance, he tends to be more receptive to what they have to say to him. It seems that Scamp is always getting in trouble – or rather, trouble is finding him. He’s also clumsy and fairly uncoordinated when it comes to agility, which goes hand-in-hand with his tendency to overcompensate in order to try and make himself look cool. As a result, he is also easily flustered whenever he’s made a mistake or had a flaw pointed out to him. He’s basically just a teenager in a fuzzy, gray body. the history overall history • Born in Marceline as the sole son of Lady and the Tramp, Scamp always felt like he was the black sheep of the family. Besides having to grow up among three very high-maintenance sisters, his wild and oft rebellious spirit clashed with what was an otherwise calm (one might even say idyllic) family unit. This was not helped in the least by the Tramp's seemingly overprotective nature, especially whenever Scamp mentioned wanting to be a wild dog. It eventually came to the point where there was little to be done in the way of satisfying the pup’s desire for grandeur – or at the very least, to see what the other side of the tracks was like. But everything changed the day Buster’s gang ran past his yard. While being put up to punishment for causing yet another ruckus, Scamp slipped his chains and went after the strays. It was there he met one Angel – a young mutt around his age, whose confidence and charm instantly swept him off his feet. She in turn led him straight to Buster’s gang, who instantly took a shine to him. It was within the company of this group that Scamp not only got his first taste of freedom, but also the previously undisclosed knowledge of his father’s legacy. He suddenly became privy to two hard truths: the Tramp gave up the wild life, and Buster’s grudge against him for it was a mile long. When his friendship with Angel started to strengthen, however, his perspective began to change. His eyes were opened to Buster's pettiness and general disregard for his well-being on the whole -- especially after connecting the dots over his lineage. He started to understand the true value of having a family, and how fortunate he was for belonging to one. And a brief stint in the pound wherein his father came to his rescue cemented these facts. Things seemed to shift back to relative normalcy after this, albeit with a few new adjustments. Tramp started to loosen up, and most importantly, Angel was adopted into the family. Though Scamp's boisterous nature was not quite cured by the adventure he had taken, he now had more of an outlet through which he could exercise it. Yes, with his best friend by his side and a loving family at his back, things were perfect. And then, Angel announced she was joining the war. While the rest of the family seemed reluctant to volunteer her services, Angel was driven with the desire to protect what was now her permanent family. But Scamp wasn't satisfied with this. Not only did he want to go with her ("I can go instead of you!" he had offered), but Angel was convinced that if he did go, he would never make it out alive. So he chased after her halfway across the neighborhood, following her down to the depot and watching her board the train to distant lands. And just when things couldn't possibly get crazier, Lady left. And then Tramp. And then Danielle. It seemed every time he went to bed, a new member of the family went missing. He couldn't take waiting around for his turn to go anymore -- even being under the care of Uncle Jock and Trusty, he was finding his old craving for adventure and independence coming back in full force. He wanted to carve his own path, or at the very least, see just what in the world his family was up to out beyond their New England town. So, Scamp set off himself, following suit to his family's method of going out aboard the train in the night. However, he never quite made it to where everyone else was going. Unlike the rest of his family, Scamp found himself in Nottingham rather than Arendelle. The last thing he remembered was passing out from exhaustion in the dark of the night, before waking up in an establishment he soon came to learn was called the Snuggly Duckling. And he also learned that, much like on the streets, the people whose company he had been welcomed into played by their own rules... the role player alias • Inky age • 22 pronouns • she/her other characters • Georgette and Honey Lemon |
