Both girls surrendered to his brotherly hug, which he was glad he didn’t have to force his gesture onto them. They both sunk into his embrace and it vaguely reminded him of having a true family, and he truly did consider them as a sort of little sister. Of course they likely weren’t much of a fan for that ‘babying’ even though he constantly worried about them like family. Angry peeled away and he too released his snugness, quirking a brow to anticipate her assumed to be sassy words. Angry uttered forth the obvious and for a moment he did consider the hypocrisy it might seem like. Crime was still crime regardless of being for the good or not, it’s just that Flynn was never fond of rules. It almost seemed like he was projecting falsities onto the children, a desire he never could shake either. However, it was still very different forms of thievery.
“Ahh well… Of course I want you; the feeling is in your blood and besides, totally different types of thievery,” he nodded pointedly to express clearly he just didn’t want them getting into trouble with the wrong crowd. Now? He could watch them and make sure they were safe but with the Baron around and the fact he hadn’t made a move yet was concerning. If the Thorns recruited him… This meant trouble for the Wings.
As the softest voice stole his attention, a look akin to how one would look at a puppy caused his heart to squeeze. Red was gentle and sweet, she was completely contrasted compared to her friend. The two were a perfect pair; it was quite disarming to be honest. Angry was ready to hurl into jobs and he withdrew his hand to put it up in a ‘halting’ motion.
“Hold on now, you haven’t even met the head-honcho himself or even heard about our secrets,” he emphasized the word on ‘secrets’ knowing it was sure to catch their attention. They likely would need someone to accompany them on jobs but he was certain they would fit in well as Fledglings. Every Wing needed to know their ways though before taking any jobs.
“First off, this symbol is key,” he glanced towards Rapunzel and then towards the girls as she unfurled a piece of paper. It was their emblem, the Gilded Wings. He assumed they have seen it marring the walls of many buildings or locations.
“This symbol shows the people we’re around and they are safe… The Wings carries the people’s hopes,” surprisingly poetic for his words but he was very inspired since helping Robin with the ‘business’. It was definitely smoother with Rapunzel around too, she always eased him. “Of course we need other occupations aside from thievery so we’re not noticed, for instance I’m the bar-keep,” nodded the man, looking a bit proud. It was at first trial and error but he was pretty damn good at it now.
