(Feb 5, festival thread, open to EVERYONE!)
Entertainment of all kinds coursed through the festivities, drowning the air in booming music and the scent of greasy, delicious food. Dancing folks forced the four-legged compatriots to weave away from tail-stomping feet, and once or twice, a scaly tail was visible as a dragon spotted something it liked and descended. In the middle of it all, DeSoto thought the dogs were running the most wild. Running about the streets in intoxicating excitement, nipping the heels of entertainers, devouring whole stands of foodstuffs left out for them, and sometimes devolving into an ear-biting brawl. It was entertainment, not the life and death of a jungle he had jusgg traveled from for this.
It was just like home! And DeSoto wasn't done yet!
Breaking off from a group of baying dogs, he emerged into another street filled with the stench of food, jaws already open with the expectation of tossed food...and when it didn't come? Well, these were his allies, but that didn't mean he had to be polite, now did it. Really, by holding their plate so close to the ground, they were practically asking for it, he was clearly going for it!
A yell, a snap, and he was darting away with what felt like a whole chicken in his mouth. Whoever was eating this had great taste, you know, before he ate it, of course. The music boomed in his chest, almost like a laugh, and he screamed down another street, one with a little less company before flopping down on the side, stripping the meat off of the whatever he stole.
Still, he wasn't blind, nor stupid. He was still watching his surroundings, and tilted his ears up at a new sound. Whether a victim coming for revenge of his thievery, an ally, or fellow beast, yellow, almost crazed with excitement eyes turned up. His tail was a blur, and very white teeth clenched tightly in a smile.
