As each of the gathered leaders spoke their piece, Mufasa gazed at them impassively, holding his features in the regal, stoic expression he'd cultivated during his reign. The only time his expression changed was when Simba spoke up, asking to be allowed to lead the raid. He gazed at his son, one brow arching, meeting his heir's gaze in silence, only looking away when Tarzan spoke up, rather bluntly adding his own opinion. He gave Simba another look, but again said nothing, neither agreeing or refusing at the moment.
Shang, in turn, stepped up to be a voice of caution, warning against the getting in too far where they could get surrounded on unfamiliar ground before suggesting they destroy the bridges in the city to further disrupt their enemies. It was a sound plan, if risky. Still, they needed to make a strong showing, regardless of how much damage the raid inflicted. That wasn't the point, as far as he was concerned. The point was to send the Thorns a message, to prove to them that the Suns were just as capable of striking them in their territory as they were of entering Suns territory.
Then, as Shang concluded his speech, the Great Prince appeared. Mufasa offered him a respectful nod when their eyes met, and he returned the great stag's unflinching good with a level, attentive gaze. Out of all those gathered, the Great Prince's voice held greater weight simply because this was his home. He nodded in agreement when the deer voiced his own reservations.
"Agreed. The raiders will go to Chambord, and see if they've been followed, before making their way back here, and to Arendelle. More soldiers, those not involved in the raid itself, can wait there as well to ensure the raiders aren't being followed," he stated before looking to Amelia, Tarzan, and Shang.
"There will be two groups. The first group will race in as swiftly as they can, and if possible, destroy the bridges in Paris before drawing back to the city's edge to draw off any defenders within the city itself. When pushed, this group will let themselves be driven outside the city so they don't get surrounded within Paris itself. While this is going on, the actual raiders will sneak in, and cause as much damage as they can. If they meet much resistance, they will abandon the raid, and make their way to Chambord. Nobody is to take unnecessary risks," he explained, letting his imperious gaze sweep over everybody ebfore resting his eyes on Simba.
"You, my son, will command the distracting party. You and Shang will work together to select a fitting group. Amelia, Tarzan, you will organize the raiders themselves, and work out between yourselves who will lead it. Fergus, you will organize a reinforcing party to head to Chambord, just in case the raiders are followed. Are there any further suggestions, or any objections?" he asked, looking around evenly as he waited, one brow rising again.
