(ooc: February 7th, morning. Open to all who would logically be in the area.)
"Okay, okay, so... if we go that way, then we could... no. That's not gonna work. Too much up and not enough down. Oh, maybe we could...! No. No, that's no good either. Mom's gonna beat us to the Salmon Run at this rate!"
There were several scratched out, crude claw marks in the dirt that Koda had been trying to use as a plan of sorts. He'd picked up that weird habit from Kenai, and there wasn't any real going back. He wasn't even really sure where Kenai was right then. Last he'd seen the older bear, he was sleeping somewhere. Koda had decided to wander a bit further ahead to try and make some sense of the sudden change in things. The world was a very different place than it had been before. He no longer knew the path to the Salmon Run, and there was no way that he could guess where that one hunter could be. So far as Koda knew, they were lost. That meant that Kenai would be mad for a while. Especially since Kenai really wanted to see where the lights touched the mountain for some reason.
Things were getting more and more complicated by the minute, Koda decided. So, he made his best effort to scratch out what he had done and planted his bottom on the ground in frustration. What were they supposed to do? What if he never was able to reunite with his mom? Even more important than that, what if he wasn't able to share his story of how he got separated from her in the first place with his friends?? That would be a disaster! Well... all of it would, but still. Koda was focused on that in particular.
"What'm I gonna do?" Koda wondered out loud. His down mood didn't last for too long, luckily. New scents were attracting his attention enough to get him to lift his head up. Truth be told, Koda hadn't taken that long to explore the forest he and Kenai had settled in for the time being. He couldn't help a little curiosity. So, he got up again and started to step forward. However, he stopped again. What if there were hunters around, he told himself.
Maybe I should see if anyone's there first, Koda decided.
"Hey! Anybody here? Or am I just smelling forest stuff??"
