A Mermaid and a Siren [EVENT]

There was talk circulating in London that Paris was under siege. Being it was not too far across the English Channel from London, there was not much to guess where the Cursed Thorns were planning to take over next. Given the lack of presence of members from Enchanted Suns in London, there was no way to confirm where they planned to go next. Staying in London meant being isolated in fear, waiting each day to hear about any news for what was happening in the battlefronts, when most of the news they received was unsubstantiated. Would they get to live to see another day? How can they be ready for the worst, and how much time did they have?

Wendy wasn't supposed to be in Paris. She was supposed to be having supper with her family. Instead, she excused herself from dinner by feigning sickness and asking her family to not get near her for the rest of the night, or even the next day. With the help of a small dust keeper from Pixie Hollow, Wendy was granted the ability to fly again, and easily escape without anyone noticing.

With Paris being the closest supposed battlefront to London, Wendy decided to travel there and see if the news she was wearing was valid. She soared above the English Channel until she could see the coast of France through the dark clouds. From there, it was a guessing game. Where could she find Paris? Still in flight, she could hear the rushing flow of a long river. That must be the Seine! But for the early hours of twilight, Wendy was quite astonished that the streets were fairly empty of other people. Gradually lowering her vertical travel, Wendy noticed an abundance of trash sprawled all over the streets, as well as some tents. So there was sign of life, but it wasn't a reassuring sign that things were calm!

Deciding to land, Wendy began to walk quietly in an empty street. Realizing she was a young woman on her own in unfamiliar territory, she really wish she had a disguise, or some good company.

She peered into the windows of what looked like to be empty taverns and businesses, which were all dark and there was no sign of life. Was this portion of Paris abandoned? The increasing acceptance and realization that she was alone caused her anxiety to grow. If the next building she saw was empty, she decided she would fly home.

Suddenly, she was relieved, for there were two girls, somewhere around Wendy's age, one picking up the trash off the cobblestone street near from tents, and another sitting. What were two young women doing out alone at night, in a dreadful, probably abandoned place like this? She needed answers now. "Excuse me!" Wendy called as she began rushing toward the sitting girl. "Do you live here? Can you tell me what's going on?" Wendy was not accustomed to talking to strangers, but given that these were two young women, alone, who were unarmed and looked like they meant no harm, it couldn't be all that terrible?

Melody gave Vivienne a half smile before reaching down to pick up some more garbage. This place really got trashed during the day. Although Melody wouldn't ever say that to Vivienne. She let out a small laugh at the other girl's question regarding the Fiji Mermaid. Before Melody could respond, she turned her attention to the squealing pig.

She liked Vivienne's pet. Melody thought it was cool that she had something interesting like a pig, rather than something normal like a dog. Although Melody loved Max dearly. She was curious to the newcomer. It was a girl, about the same age as the two of them. Maybe a little bit younger. And she looked completely confused.

Melody watched Vivienne take the lead. That seemed to be the other teen's style. Jumping right into the thick of things. Melody was curious, thought. It wasn't every day young girls just showed up confused. But Melody felt bad, and was willing to help. So she glanced from Vivienne to Wendy and waited for the other girl to respond.
