He is easygoing and fair, as shown when he follows along with his father’s insistence on form and grace and whims, but he does have a mind of his own and his mother’s unorthodox, rebellious streak, which can be seen when he yawns and mischievously provokes the king during the ball. He’s also a romantic, believing in love at first sight and acting mainly on emotions. He is, heart and soul, devoted to Cinderella first and his kingdom secondarily, despite all of his father’s speeches about duty and the Grand Duke’s efforts to remind him of tradition. Though just and a man of his word, Prince Christopher can also let his fanciful ideas run off with him and act impulsively once he is convinced something is right. He can also be too trusting and naive. the history overall history • Prince of a small, faraway kingdom, Christopher’s life was dull and hampered by constant traditions and lessons in formality as a boy. His mother was full of spirit, coming from a seaside kingdom, but his father was a little overbearing and domineering. His fondest wish was for his son to grow into a strong king. This the Prince did. He was the model of not only an excellent heir, but a good son. The only complaint his Highness could have of Christopher was that he spent too much of his time practicing fencing, going hunting or on expeditions, as he grew to be marrying age. Christopher couldn’t help it. He was stifled in the palace and loved to live an active life. He often felt like nobody really knew him outside of his father. Even then, he often hid his restlessness from the monarch out of wanting to please the old King. This changed when the King insisted on throwing a matchmaking ball for the Prince, during which every eligible maiden in the realm was invited to throw themselves at Christopher. He expected it to be as frightfully dull as it was until Cinderella showed up. She was beautiful beyond measure on the outside, but when they danced, beauty shone through her eyes from the inside, too. Christopher felt an instant connection with this girl, such as he’d never felt, and began to hope that he could have a wife in her who really understood him the way his mother had understood his father. Unfortunately the mystery girl vanished. Christopher convinced his father to spare no expense in finding and marrying Cinderella with the help of the identifying glass slipper she left behind, and eventually, all was well. Even though she was revealed to be a scullery maid, Christopher loved Cinderella, and they became happily married. The King began giving more and more of his responsibilities over to his son, preparing him to rule and content to wait with incredibly strong hints for grandchildren. Christopher busied himself with these duties, but never neglected his wife, who was learning herself how to be a Crown Princess. Every day he adored her selflessness, grace, and courage more and more. Their happiness was shattered when the Worlds Merged. Their little kingdom, which had rarely known wars, was in a compromising position near the advantageous city of Paris. The Cursed Thorns wanted it. Cinderella and Christopher organized a careful defense, and the King himself left to get aid from the Enchanted Suns. Whether he was delayed, lost, or captured, the aid never came. Cinderella’s stepmother, Lady Tremaine, betrayed her own kingdom to the Cursed Thorns and revealed all of the kingdom’s weaknesses to the dark army. Christopher was ready to defend it with his last breath and fought heartily, organizing evacuation for the peasants and remaining people in the siege of the castle until the last moment. While he oversaw the last of their departure, Christopher glimpsed, through the heat of battle, Cinderella being kidnapped. He mounted his horse and pursued, but was quickly overwhelmed by Maleficent’s forces at every turn and couldn’t get to his love in time. In the chaos, he was knocked from his steed and rendered unconscious. Luckily, the Grand Duke, loyal if nervous, had been left with specific instructions to get the King’s beloved son out of harm’s way should the worst happen and was ready for it. It was he who rescued the Prince and smuggled him away to the rendezvous with the refugees. Prince Christopher has only just now reached Nottingham. He obeys the duty of finding shelter and safety for what is left of his people, and he knows the smartest course of action is to find out what happened to his father and the help from the Suns that never came nearly a year ago. But he burns with the desire to charge the Black Keep and tear it apart, brick by brick, until he finds Cinderella. the role player alias • SmilePirate age • 24 pronouns • She, her how did you find us? • My sister other characters •Nala |
