(ooc: Set around the same time as Five For All Forever. Closed to just Kopa and Johari .)
Maybe he'd been thinking too hard about this 'destiny' stuff. Though part of Kopa did still worry that he wasn't meant for anything other than being Simba and Nala's child, he decided to try and put it on the back burner in favor of trying to adventure. This was a bit beyond his normal parameters of what he was willing to do, as he normally tried not to stray too far from where he knew the Suns frequented, but he wanted to be a bit braver. He thought that maybe it would mean something if he explored and got a better sense for what was out there in the world.
So far, though? All he could see was normal stuff within the Enchanted Forest. That wasn't a bad thing, of course. Kopa hadn't expected anything dangerous to cross paths with him. All the same, he had hoped for something a little more exciting than a few birds here and a few butterflies there. The most exciting thing he'd spotted all day had been a little rabbit hopping along a trail.
"At least it's a nice day," Kopa told himself as he tried to look on the bright side. So what if it wasn't a bold, daring adventure? At least he'd gotten out of the Great Forest for a little bit. Not that his family would be too happy with him, and he'd apologize a lot if he'd worried them. For the time being, though, he was happy and alone. He was...
Wait. He sniffed at the air. There was something different, he realized as he came to a stop. Something... or someone?
He wasn't sure who else was there, but he wasn't about to run away. Not on this day. His best bet was to sneak, so he lowered himself into some taller grass and started to stalk forward. The grass beneath his belly tickled a bit as he moved, but Kopa bit his lip to try and keep from laughing. The last thing he wanted was to blow his cover.
...What if it was an outsider, Kopa realized. He could brag to Gurri that he'd faced one! Maybe even Kion and Kiara would be impressed! His parents probably would scold him, but it was too late to worry about that. His tendency to daydream had taken over. He imagined himself catching the outsider by surprise and pouncing on top of them. The thought made him grin visibly.
Of course, since he was off in his own little world, he'd left himself open to being noticed. In fact, by the time he opened his eyes again, he found himself looking right at who he'd smelled.
