(ooc: January 3rd, morning. Open to all Enchanted Suns to come meet this little cleric.)
The Great Forest was indeed a stark contrast to the valley she'd grown in, but Orchid was growing used to it. She'd woken with a new found desire to make sure everything was in order where she'd set up shop. After getting to her hooves and giving herself a little shake, she trotted to the area of the forest where her little garden had been started. That was just the start, of course. Herbs were important for the healing process. Not just that, though. They were important for making potions for mending lesser wounds. Greater wounds? Well, Orchid didn't want to think too hard about that just yet. Instead, she settled herself in front of her makeshift forest garden and set to work.
Her soft humming filled the air as she tended to the plant life. Every now and again she would give an approving nod to herself. It was almost as though she expected the plants to answer her. Of course Orchid knew they couldn't. They were just plants. Even so, Orchid always had had a certain closeness to foliage. It just made her feel at home.
"Yes... it looks like everything's growing well. Maybe I could go down to the river and get something for you all to drink," Orchid said in a sing-song tone. Her long tail flicked gently behind her as a smile tugged at her lips. Just to be sure, though, her horn was ignited by a soft glow. The plans began to glow as well, but only for a brief moment before the magic took effect. As her horn's light faded, the plants grew just a little bit more. Then, Orchid beamed.
"Even better," she said. That ought to have done it, she decided. The periwinkle unicorn turned about and started back the way she'd come. Perhaps it was too early for the forest dwellers to awaken. Orchid didn't mind, but she wanted to see more of the Enchanted Suns. Mostly it would be to learn more about them. They were to be her allies in this war.
She paused when that thought took hold. It still was odd to her that she'd leave the peaceful valley she'd known her whole life and enter a war. Yet there she was. Go figure, she thought. Maybe Chrysanthemum and her parents would be proud when she came home. Maybe they'd just flick their ears and wouldn't comment at all. The only way she'd ever know was if more time passed. Until that time did pass, though, she was there with her healing potential and gardening capabilities. Perhaps it would benefit the Suns, and perhaps it wouldn't.
"Oh!" She heard something behind her, and turned to look around. Apparently her mind wandering had led to her leaving a small trail of flowers in her wake. Orchid giggled. "Look at you guys. I didn't mean for that to happen." Wow. Talking to herself. No one was going to think that was weird.
