(January 14th, around midday. Open primarily to Gilded Wings, but anyone else who'd have reason to be in the Snuggly Duckling is welcome too ^^)
"Carrot juice. And make it a large one."
The bartender gave her an odd look for a moment, then seemed to shrug it off with the air of a person who'd seen one too many strange things to actively question another. In fairness, Judy supposed, she was a fully clothed and upright rabbit in a world where animals seemed not to have evolved very far beyond their primitive roots... not to mention, her order was probably an unusual one. Still, the man - one of those 'human' creatures who seemed to be the dominant species in this part of the world - moved to comply without asking anything more, and the bunny turned to lean back against the bar as she surveyed her surroundings.
Despite the brightness outside, the building was dimly lit; the narrow windows only let in a little light, and most of the visibility came from the orange glow of the fireplace across the room. Tree branches twined through the ceiling above, giving the place an unusual character... though not so dubious of one as the weapons sticking out of a few places in the walls and pillars. Judy winced slightly, not altogether sure she wanted to know their story.
BUT. She was here with a mission, the little bunny reminded herself. And, for all its dubious character, a pub like this was the best place to slip a few surreptitious enquiries, and to find people who were in the know. Criminals were always the best source of information on other criminals, and the morbid stories that those weapons might have to tell only served to convince her more fully that she was in the right place.
She just had to find someone willing to talk.
The pub wasn't heaving with people, but nor was it empty at this lunchtime hour. Judy herself sat on one of the seats at the bar, clad in simple casual clothes from home, and for the moment decided that her best approach was just to watch, and see who came to her. Even if no-one had so much as given her a second glance so far, she was a rabbit in a human world, so there was only so long that could last. And even if she didn't attract any particular attention, her gaze had picked out more than a few likely-looking candidates who she could approach...
But for now? Judy had a funny feeling that she wasn't going to be alone for much longer. She would take in the sights, and she would wait... and she would see what, or perhaps who, would present itself.
