The conversation was continuing even after he had volunteered himself, but for the time being Balto was focused wholly on one thing. Jenna had joined them all and positioned herself. beside him. A smile tugged on his wolfish lips, and when she confirmed that she wasn't going to let him have all the fun that time? Well, Balto just felt all the more proud to have such a brave and wonderful mate. He bumped his head gently against Jenna's as his tail began to wag a bit. The warm smile still clung to his lips all the while, and for the time being he wasn't paying much attention to anyone else in the room.
"Don't worry," Balto murmured. "I'll make sure not to leave you out of the fun." Never again. As long as they were together, then they were going to be sharing the supposed burden of this task. It probably wouldn't be anything near that level of serious, of course, but it was something that came to mind as he stood there with Jenna. The thought faded away soon after as he let his tongue slip out into view so he could lap it against her nose.
His ears flicked when bits of conversations started to come back to him. More of their fellow Wings were volunteering. Among them was Gideon, who he recognized, and a small but boistrous sounding individual. That was what made Balto look his way. Snowball was unfamiliar to him, and honestly? The idea of him helping was a little on the odd side. Then again, Balto had seen stranger things in his day. For instance, he'd known two polar bear cubs who couldn't swim in his lifetime. They still weren't the best, but somehow Muk and Luk coming to mind as he thought of Snowball wasn't that strange. So, he gave his shoulders a small shrug and returned his attention to Jenna for a moment. His ears flicked a bit when Rita spoke up, but beyond that he didn't acknowledge her.
Weapons were also brought up. Balto wasn't sure if he and Jenna would need them. They had their teeth and, if they absolutely needed them, their nails on their paws. Still, it wasn't too bad of an idea. Merida also offered a good question. How would they get to the entrance, indeed. If they each were going in two groups, divided amongst Robin and Flynn, then it would be interesting to see how things went.
"Maybe we could send someone to scout it out first," Balto said. "That way we could look for weak points and the best ways to get inside." He had experience with sneaking in to places that were otherwise inaccessible, but... somehow Balto had his suspicions that the castle wouldn't be quite as easy to get into as the boiler room he and Jenna snuck into.
