Big ol' dignified Tiger the personality overall personality • Shere-Khan is as large as he is cunning. Cunning as well as paired with an unforgiving cruelty to those lesser than him. Dignified and cordial, it's a mask for something much more terrible beneath the exterior. He's superior and can be exceedingly awful and selfish, but above all he has a deep rooted hatred for those of the likes of mankind. the history overall history • He wasn't always a ruthless killer. At once point Shere-Khan seemed immune to the calls of nature that made him the cunning beast he is today. At one point he was well acquainted with the likes of Baloo and Bagheera. No one who wasn't paying attention to the once reckless tiger would have suspected that he'd become such a tyrant to the jungles of India. Perhaps it was the distaste of things that man had done to their jungle, perhaps it was their involvement upon what he considered 'his' territory at all. Whatever it was, Shere-Khan found himself growing to hate man kind and the weaponry they came baring, often hunters wishing to claim his pelt. That simply would not do, and Shere-Khan often found himself hunting then in turn. Naturally the arrival of a man cub in the very jungle he used to live in was rather astounding. More astounding still, they'd planned to take him in and raise the thing as their own. Shere-Khan vowed that would not happen. During his pursuit of the man cub, Mowgli, something changed though. He found himself in other lands that were at the edge of his jungle and met some unfamiliar scents. And faces. A small army of sorts in its beginnings. Scar, and his Queen Zira, offered a unique opportunity. He'd take it.
