((January 13th, Mufasa and Elsa! c:))
It was mid morning, well enough into the day that people were busy with their routines and schedules. Giant burly men were hauling barrels around the docks, shops of Arendelle were moving goods into their storefront that they didn't normally trade in. Lots of people had altered their lives to make room for the changes of war, Elsa was grateful for such loyal people after everything. It seemed as though there was enough hours in the day for all the things that needed to be done and the people that needed to be met. Even now, King Mufasa had returned a few days ago and it warranted a meeting between the two Monarchs. Elsa wasn't entirely sure she'd ever get used to speaking to animals, although it was truly the regal and immense presence of the lions that always rendered her speechless. Let alone their size.
Elsa had fussed minimally over her wardrobe for the outing, it wasn't overly formal but she always did manage to loo professional and royal regardless. She was a Queen. For this morning though she wore a deep blue dress, green diamonds patterned into spiraling shapes of flowers with silver embroidery detailing the petals with delicate twists and curls. Transparent gems like dew drops littered the decorative petals of the flowers that trailed down the back of her dress, although the fabric barely skirted the stones as she crossed the bridge from the castle that connected to the heart of Arendelle's city. Her hair was braided, snow white locks with a silver sheen braided carefully and curled around her rounded skull before being pinned atop her head. Apparently holding the intricate hairstyle into place was her angular crown tucked into her braids neatly.
The soldiers at either side of her only escorted her for formality and to remain polite and respectful to their Queen. As they neared the end of the length of the bridge she smiled almost hesitantly at each of them, giving them a nod and a thank you before dismissing them. Her gaze shortly went elsewhere, an exhale to steady her nerves before heading into business once again. They looked a little curious, as they too looked in the direction their Queen gazed. At the end of the bridge was the great King himself, Mufasa.
Massive and as ever, impressive. Elsa had met him before, of course, but she always felt so insignificant next to his illustriousness whenever they first encountered. As she neared him she allowed a polite smile, stopping before the great feline and crossing her hands neatly in front of her. She bowed her head in respect and to greet him at once, before straightening up.
"Good morning, your majesty." she greeted calmly.
"It's good to see you back." she added, after a second of consideration. In truth, it was. The more Arendelle and The Great Forest had going for them the better, and it admittedly felt like a relief to receive news that the great lion had returned to the forest once again.
