(ooc: January 21st, afternoon, around a general area with a stream. Closed to Jane Porter and @valka.)
"For Thor's sake, Cloudjumper. Hold still. You've got some... no, stay still!"
Coming from Alaska back to the Great Forest hadn't been that big of a deal, Valka would admit, but apparently in the time that had passed since then Cloudjumper had managed to dirty up his beautiful scales. The Stormcutter, proud as he was, seemed like he wasn't going to just sit there and let her clean him without a fuss. Of course Valka wasn't going to stand for that. She flitted to and fro around Cloudjumper, trying to reach up to his shoulders and upper chest, but every time she moved he moved as well. There was even amusement in his eyes at this.
"Gurrrou."
"I know you can! But you'd have a much easier time if you'd let me help you, Cloudjumper," Valka insisted. She thought she had seen the opportune time, too. He looked like he wasn't paying as much attention, as something had briefly caught his attention, and so Valka reached her hand up to get at him again. Just as she did, though, Cloudjumper shifted to the left and let Valka tumble forward. She succumbed to a startled yelp before being caught up in one of his great wings. Rapid breaths mingled with brief bits of laughter before, finally, Valka reached her hand up and lightly bumped her hand against his chest. As she lay there in his wing, she recalled that these times had passed on and off again before she'd reunited with her family.
It seemed as though, Valka thought, Cloudjumper wanted to ease things a bit with a little bit of play. Not that she minded. In fact, she was more amused than anything.
"You great lump," Valka laughed. Cloudjumper, in response, shook his head and offered a toothy grin. At that, Valka just laughed again.
"Now what was so interesting over there?" Valka pushed herself into a sitting position against his wing, and as Cloudjumper started to lower her back onto the ground she realized that there was another person there. It seemed the little place in the forest she'd picked had been a prime spot for someone else to enjoy the nature.
"Oh... hello," Valka greeted. "I hope we weren't distracting you from something important."
