The pride was small in comparison to those around it, but it had tenacity, and its members forged strong bonds. Ikenna was not a bad leader by any means – he made sure his members were fed, and he cared for his mate, Hasina. Sometimes his methods were seen as controversial, and occasional meetings with hyenas suspicious, but for the most part, he was a good protector. The members of his pride were loyal to him, and in turn, he was happy to provide for them. It was a joyous day for him when his mate gave birth to fraternal twins. The female was pretty - if not a bit unusual looking. She had patches all over her, only enhancing her unique beauty. The female was named “Mandisa” for her sweet nature. Between her and her brother Mzuka, Mandisa was favored by their father. She was always a bright, clever cub, excited about learning how to hunt. She was always with her father, training and learning the ways of being a leader in preparation to lead the lionesses. Though one would expect the siblings to be close, Mandisa hardly knew her brother. She and Mzuka were like night and day - she was strong, he was weak. She was outgoing, he was cowardly. When they play-fought, Mzuka was overpowered quickly. Though he was unique as well, his appearance was embarrassing and ugly. And while their mother filled his head with nonsense, she was always out training with their father. Another strength praised by Ikenna was the way in which she excelled as a huntress. While sweet and sociable, her ruthless nature could always shine through in the heat of battle. While she was a skilled huntress and physical fighter, she was also great at being social with the other lions. Her bubbly nature made her well liked among the pride. However, this led her to being perceived as a bit of a flirt, having flings with any lion she fancied. This perfection, in addition to a reverence to her father’s opinion, led the two be quite close. She was his heir in attitude, appearance and acceptance by the Pride. The day the worlds merged was when things were really turned on its axis for all involved. The grasslands were ravaged with thorns, laying waste to what was once their home. Unsure of what to do, but tantalized by the prospect of growing more powerful and potentially being rewarded for their efforts, Ikenna made the decision to pledge himself and the Ikemba Pride to the Thorns. He was no believer of the Great Kings of the Past and had little love for Mufasa and his pride, viewing them as the reason they got into this mess in the first place. Mandisa was excited at the proposal of joining The Curse Thorns. She viewed Zira as a strong huntress and queen and was excited to work with someone she admired. Mandisa saw the lionesses as strong and was ready and willing to join their Pride. the role player alias • Persephone age • 22 other characters • Melody, Jane, Hercules, Cinderella, Kion, Esther, Cassandra |
