Cities were different places at night. Although they had lights strewn upon the streets and the glow of the stars seemed to fade in the face of their man-made moonlight. Kingdoms, however, were different. Lacking the same technology left things darker, although the windows glowed warmly as the moon perched in the sky, basking its useful cool gaze upon the empty streets. Well. Mostly empty.
A single light source gleamed within the street, like an ambient light it fluttered towards a clearing and settled upon the bridge of a fountain. Tinkerbells tiny feet touched down leaving her to walk the rest of the distance to the water’s edge where she could get a better look at herself. A pleasant smile took to her pixie like features as she ran her fingers down the side of her face. Her opposite hand skirted down her waist, expelling a shimmering magic like stardust as her wings fluttered behind her back. As if drawn to them herself she twirled around, her pixie dust catching her own light as it shuddered from her delicate wings.
She sighed softly, her voice nothing but a ringing bell to most ears in this world. She followed the dishes of the fountain upwards before staring at the moon concealed by gentle clouds now, before turning on her heel and glancing at the rest of the cleared area. Quiet night. But she couldn’t deny that these people had a lovely Kingdom. She’d been bickering for a long time now, dissatisfied with… Most things, except Peter’s company.
“Well. It is pretty nice.” she admitted quietly to herself. Her jingling voice would remain jingling for most souls, it didn’t bother her much. So long as Peter and the select few she preferred could understand her. Lost boys and the like. Anyone else that needed translations weren’t of much consequence to her, and Tink was kept pretty busy following that impish boy around on his adventures.
