She has a shaggy, usually unkempt beaver-colored pelt with a cream underbelly, muzzle, toes, and right ear; the innards of which are a dull salmon color. The young one's nose is a thinly sculpted dark chocolate. Each iris is a stormy gray framed by a similar dark chocolate hue. The cub's most notable feature, however, is the tip of her tail - or lack thereof - which is docked by healed scar tissue where a tuft of russet fur used to be. the personality likes • Adventure, Stories, Company, Playing, and Making Grown-Ups Proud dislikes • Deep Water, Heights, Bullying, Wanton Violence, and Disappointment strengths • Resilient and Reliable weaknesses • Naive, Malleable, and Young dreams • Being labeled as a hero in the Ikemba Pride. fears • Being thrown aside or exiled. Being labeled as a liable weakness in the Ikemba Pride. overall personality • Johari can be summed up rather well by her need to make older members of the Cursed Thorns proud, especially those part of the Ikemba Pride. She wants to be the best at absolutely everything she tries her paws at; even if it becomes clear within the first few attempts that something doesn't fit her skills, Johari will go at it again and again. It is hard for her to accept her own failures - though such a thing is natural - she will argue that perhaps she simply hadn't given it all she had. Giving up is currently not in her vocabulary. Toward others, the cub can be seen as competitive but friendly. Compared to the majority of Thorns Johari might seem downright kind or peaceful. She struggles with wanting to be a good soldier and not being favorable toward unprovoked violence. As she grows older, it seems only more and more situations cause a crisis of morality. the history father • Chibale | 3 Years | Guard of the Ikemba Pride (deceased/missing) mother • Fayola | 4 Years | Hunter of the Ikemba Pride (deceased/missing) siblings • None important people • Ikemba Pride, Mzuka overall history • Chibale was one of the first in the handful of lions that joined the Ikemba Pride. He looked up to Ikenna as a great leader and stayed stalwart in his loyalty even during the occasional dissension among the group. Fayola came in much later, and her dedication wasn't nearly as concrete. The older lioness carried many doubts and wasn't afraid of voicing them. Still, despite their differences, the two grew close and eventually bore a single cub; Johari. The young female doesn't remember much of her time before the worlds melded, but the one thing she does recall is the odd, white prince Mzuka. Far too young to pick up on any shunning that had been happening at the time, Johari would happily shadow the ghost of the pride and listen to his many tales. Even at such a early stage in life the cub had a thirst for adventure that Mzuka could skillfully sate with mere words. When realities finally did collide it was a very eventful week. Firstly the land erupted with thorny vines; one of which wrapped around the cub's tail when she had been too slow to move out of the way. Though it wasn't life-threatening, they had to resort to docking the tip due to circulation being cut. It never really bothered Johari regardless; she see's it as a cool story to tell when others ask. Though, sadly, her tale-telling partner just up and decided to leave. She still isn't sure why Mzuka left when he did; the pride was just about to expand their alliances after all. The young cub still remains a bit bitter about it, however, this is mostly caused by simply missing the prince. Integration into the Cursed Thorns went smoothly through Johari's eyes. Fayola, meanwhile, was not pleased in the slightest. Multiple days and nights were spent fighting between the lioness and Chibale before they began to avoid one-another completely. During twilight a couple of weeks later Fayola told her daughter she was going to look for Mufasa's pride - that she would be back for Johari as soon as she found it; no later than four days she promised. The sun rose and set six times before Chibale, void of his previous anger due to worry, went after her. And that was the last the cub ever saw either of them. Now, three months later, the two are considered dead among the pride. Though she misses her parents dearly, the young Johari takes it in stride - doing her best to make those that still remain proud of what she is becoming. the role player alias • Boulder age • 22 pronouns • Female (she/her) how did you find us? • --- other characters • Mor'du, Torgudd, Clyde, Duchess, Ono |
