Kron div style="font-family:georgia;font-size:25px;text-transform:uppercase;border-bottom:5px solid #000;line-height:16px;color:#000;"]the basicsKron• nicknames • None age • 30 primary standing • Cursed Thorns Enforcer secondary standing • Leader of the Nesting Herd faction • Cursed Thorns species • Iguanadon (dinosaur) gender • Male sexuality •Straight the appearance origin • Dinosaur height and weight • 8.9 feet high, 33 feet long from head to tail, 9,000 lbs. overall appearance • Beneath a thick layer of dust and the faded tan of a sun-baked reptile, Kron is actually a reddish lavender color, with deeper hints of purple along his spine and faint teal striping. Most of it is blurred under the clay tones of earth he’s lived his whole life in, though. He’s an apex example of the iguanodon species with angular bone structure, muscular, and weathered. Most of his weight can be supported on his hind legs but he lumbers around on his two front limbs like most of his breed, sporting spiked thumb claws on each front talon. Kron has vibrant little green eyes and a near permanent scowling expression of wrinkles. the personality overall personality • Kron is proud, harsh, and ruthless. He’s convinced that the only decisions to be trusted are his own. He exercises his domineering, strong personality and others can’t help but follow. Kron does not trust anyone else’s judgement. Kron is harsh and unforgiving. He has room for one system of belief in his worldview, and that is that the strong deserve to survive and the weak deserve to perish. Everything is black or white, right or wrong, based off of that. Because of this Kron has allowed only one person into his crusty heart and that is his sister, Neera. Everyone else he tends to view as testaments to his power and the truth of survival of the fittest. Deep down, Kron’s passion for ruthlessness bordering on cruelty stems from fear. He’s constantly proving to himself that he is the fittest, and so he must survive. the history overall history • Kron was born to two Iguanodons in a massive herd of herbivorous dinosaurs in the Nesting Grounds. His younger sister, Neera, hatched shortly after him. Kron enjoyed a peaceful little childhood for a few months with his sisters and brothers. Even as a hatchling his firm decision-making (and sometimes bossiness) drew all of the other young dinos to follow him around. Then, their small green world changed when the migration started. Kron and his siblings’ parents were a part of a huge nomadic group of all different reptiles who crossed the great wilderness to and from the safe Nesting Ground every year. It involved harsh deserts marked with only one watering hole and, worst of all, exposure to predators. No longer sheltered and constantly on the move, Kron had to learn along with his little siblings and friends how to keep up. The desert was like a nightmare. Their journey was so different from the beginning of life in the Nesting Grounds. The iguanodon family began the trip with nine children...and despite his parent’s best efforts, there were only Kron and Neera left by the time they reached the watering hole. Neera was understandably upset at the loss of her siblings, but adolescent Kron began to become surly and confused. He’d always thought his father and mother were the strongest iguanodons in the herd; he’d often brag about it to the other dinosaurs. Why hadn’t they been able to save his siblings? Could they have done more? These questions were never answered. Kron’s mother had sustained an injury trying to rescue one of his brothers during a cliff rockslide, and she lingered near the treacherous back of the dinosaur herd. Their father slowed what was left of the family down to stay near her, and they struggled along like this for two days without rest when Carnosaurs showed up. Kron watched his father and mother killed; his father wouldn’t leave their mother and their last words were screaming for the children to run, get further into the herd’s more protected center. Kron changed at this young age. All he had left was Neera, and he protected his younger sister without compassion or care for anything else. Over the next leg of the migration, Kron brooded and became sterner and grouchier, even for his young age. There was no one left to take care of he and his sister. No large comforting presence to curl against night after night on the journey. No one to show them how to find food in the bleak landscape. He had to figure it all out for himself and his sister; the other adults had their own offspring or themselves to care for and couldn’t be bothered. And why? Because his father had left them. He’d gone back to take care of their injured mother and left them orphaned. Now he and Neera, children, were alone. Kron’s grief manifested itself in angry bitterness. That bitterness grew him into a dinosaur who believed that the strong were the only ones who deserved to live. He worked to keep himself at the front of the herd, even as a small iguanodon from that point on. And he dragged Neera along with him. Over the years, though each migration, Kron got them through it. Other reptiles began staying close behind Kron as if he could show them the trick to survival, as they did in his childhood. Kron saw them as signs of his superior survival instinct at their best, and fodder to slow down predators at their worst. Eventually, Kron challenged the current herd leader to a duel during one particularly messy and dangerous migration. He won, seizing command and becoming the dictator of the Nesting Ground herd. He got them there and back safely each season, even if his stubborn pace cost them a few numbers. Just before the worlds merged, a meteor fell from the sky. Fire obliterated the herd’s foraging grounds and kicked off the migration to the Nesting Grounds early. Kron began traveling, leading his herd at a breakneck pace with his second-in-command, Bruton, at his side, and Neera in tow. But the lands had changed. Strange creatures roamed. He was used to the pattern of travel he’d enforced his entire life. If he didn’t know the way, and if he didn’t know the habits of these new predators, how could he keep their protective numbers together? What if some upstart sensed weakness and took his command? Kron did his best not to show his mounting stress, and when it did peek through, he simply found a weaker member of the herd to kick to relieve it. This was when the rocky lands he was accustomed to turned out to be the Outlands. Kron left Bruton in charge of the herd as they bedded down for the evening among termite mounds and went scouting with Neera. These weren’t the lands he thought they were and he needed to know more. What Kron found were more strange creatures. He was all for stomping the smaller ones and moving on in the middle of the night, but Neera asked questions. They learned that these lands were occupied by a massive army made of predators and leaf eaters alike, engaged in a war for beautiful, flourishing sheltered lands. Kron lowered his guard and was convinced to seize the opportunity. He offered up his herd to add to the Cursed Thorns Numbers...they seemed to be the strongest army in this war, anyway. He was promised that if he used his leadership and strength in numbers to crush the weaker creatures on the opposite side, he could have the lush enemy territory as new Nesting Grounds. Then things could get back into a pattern he could control. the role player alias • Spot age • 23 pronouns • She, her how did you find us? • MY FRIENDSSS! other characters •Simba, Tarzan, Aladdin, Lilo, Janja, Rani, Dodger, Prince John, Beast, The Evil Queen |
