Daylight was strong through the trees of the forest. The sun was warming the thick greenery around the princess. However for some reason? She was always cold. She could never be content in this forest, with its chilly air and white powder that sometimes fell from the sky. Though she'd never been to the Pridelands before but from her father's bedtime stories she understood that they at least were warm. That was part of the reason she wanted to get home to the Pridelands. So she didn't freeze to death!
So, today she'd ditched her entourage (Tiifu and Zuri) so she could go to the spot she went to when she wanted some peace, quiet, and warmth. Looking behind her shoulder, the princess smirked as she lept over a rather large boulder. With a splash, Kiara landed in a small pool of water. The water was hot, in the sun but sheltered by clusters of boulders and rocks. She had found it a while ago, accidentally while playing hide and seek with Geno one day, and had kept it secret from her siblings and friends. So far.
She sunk into the water with just her nose, ears and eyes out of the water. She smirked to herself. If she was younger and more childish, the lioness cub would have pretended she was a crocodile. IF she was more childish.
"Rahr," Kiara bubbled from under the water, "All animals fear the mighty crocodile!" She giggled, bubbles forming as she sat up, leaning against a boulder. Nothing could ruin this tiny moment she had to herself. Absolutely nothing.
