(ooc: Closed to Collette and Georgette.)
"Georgette?"
The cocker mix nosed the door open a bit further, making her way inside the room just a moment later. It was one thing to be a member of the Thorns, but quite another to expand upon one's reason for being there. Georgette had convinced her to stay there, but so far it felt like she hadn't accomplished a lot. That might very well have just been because Collette hadn't been there as long as a lot of the others. She was just finding her footing. Even so, she wanted to be more of a Thorn. She wanted to think less about those she had left behind. After all, Georgette had convinced her that being there was better than seeking family who'd left her to begin with. It just made sense that she start to take these lessons seriously.
Slow, careful pawsteps were taken forward to meet with the poodle. She didn't know exactly what Georgette had in store for her that day, but Collette felt like being open about her intentions would help. T'was far better to not keep her mentor in the dark on that much. That way, they both could look upon the path ahead and see what direction was best.
She tipped her head down in a small nod before beginning to speak again.
"I was hoping we could continue talking about... why I'm here, I suppose. With the Thorns," Collette said. "It's just that I know I'm here for a reason. No one back home needed me. But I still can't shake the thoughts about them. I'm starting to wonder if I'm doing something wrong if they keep coming up in my thoughts." Georgette would know, she told herself. The poodle seemed to have no qualms with cutting ties. That was what had inspired Collette to try and do the same, especially when coupled with what she'd been told when she first arrived in Paris.
"I just don't want to be some... wishy-washy little airhead." There was a determination in her voice when she said that much, and it was punctuated with a curt nod. "Please, tell me what I should be doing. Where I should go from here to stay on the path."
