((Come foRTH and visit the magic girl in the enchANTED forest!))
Rapunzel rarely took time for herself these days, and it felt like with everything going on she was always supposed to be kept on high alert. Going into cities was harder, Corona especially as she was their beloved princess and the fuss her appearance would make was more trouble than it was worth in these times. Paris was both appealing and dangerous, but forbidden without being spoken despite her bursting desires to go forth and see the beautiful city for herself. Although the looming horrific army with a fabled dragon lady at its heart made delving there a little more precarious. Eugene would have a heart attack if he found out she took off to roam the streets there, although the inkling had taken a dangerous foothold in her mind that he couldn’t be hurt if he didn’t find out about it.
The golden princess heaved a great sigh as she left the Snuggly Duckling in nothing but her soft lavender dress, no shoes to speak of. Pascal was perched on her shoulder and jostling slightly as she fumbled to pick up a rogue band of her golden hair and keep it gathered in her arms as she trailed through the soft grass and into the thick winding roots and stumps of the enchanted forests trees. It was by a small stream where she slowed to a stop, tossing her hair down in a heap at her feet before slumping to the grassy forest bed herself seconds after. Her dress gave a short plume as the air escaped from its folds and she smoothed it out with a brush of her hand before getting to work organizing the wild amount of golden tresses. It was more pleasant to take on the task of braiding this mess in fresh air than cooped up in the Inn. Pascal uttered a disgruntled grumble as he slid down her shoulder and into her lap, the small chameleon winding up to push a fold of her hair from a tangle.
”Yes, I know this would have been easier if I had brought a brush.” she sighed. Rapunzel was used to dealing with her hair by now. Unfortunately the rest of the Wings passing to and fro the bases were not, and she quickly realized that there wasn’t many times she could let her hair down where it wouldn’t get in the way. She often took it out to the forest to braid it back up alone. Well, not alone. Pascal was here! The lizard started up again, lifting his tiny hand with shuffling at some of her golden strands.
”Well you could go back and get it for me?” she suggested, cocking her eyebrow skeptically at him. The lizard sighed, before turning tail and making to leave. Rapunzel’s shrewd frown turned sweet immediately, a soft giggle as the kind glow retouched her delicate features. He barely got two feet before there was a disturbance from somewhere beyond the shrubbery across the stream, not violent by any means but in a forest the unknown was a little more unpredictable at times. Like a deer in the headlights Rapunzel scooped up an arm load of her giant trail of hair, as if she were ready to vacate easily. That was unlikely. Pascal halted, his tiny body taking on the grass as he seemingly vanished.
”Hello?” Rapunzel called timidly, her lily green eyes searching the trees for the first sign of movement, or something to break the thickets. Although it was most likely to be a Wings member, this close to the road and the Snuggly Duckling itself, it wouldn’t be unheard of to be anyone else.
