The fur atop his head is particularly scruffy, and his cheek fluff appears to go out at a slight point. His belly and chest fur is a lighter, creamish color. There is a blue ribbon around his neck tied in a neat bow. the personality overall personality • Feisty, bold, and playful. Toulouse is easily the most outgoing of Duchess' kittens. He can be polite when he wants to be, as his mother would want, but he's not afraid to try and reach down to the more scrappy roots of a feral cat when he needs to. Since the family was taken by the Thorns, he's wanted to tap more into that side of himself in order to keep his family safe. He knows he doesn't have to, really, but he feels guilt over not being able to do more for his mother, brother, and sister when they were in trouble. the history overall history • The oldest of Duchess' first litter, Toulouse was born and raised in Paris along with his younger siblings Marie and Berlioz. He, like his siblings, was raised in the lap of luxury and was spoiled by their owner Madame Bonfamille. He also was taught the way of manners and creative outlets. Where his brother and sister excelled in piano and singing respectively, Toulouse excelled in painting. All in all, life was pretty good. The shifting of the worlds didn't affect Toulouse too much at first. He did long to explore beyond the comfortable walls of their home, as his adventurous nature was want to do, but Toulouse never was able to get too far past the house. Perhaps it was better that way. Their lives were all thrown into chaos one fateful night, though, when the Cursed Thorns stormed the Bonfamille household. Toulouse saw it as a chance to prove how brave he could be when the Thorns burst in. He didn't know they had killed their servants or hurt Madame, but what he did know was that he wanted to try and protect his brother, sister, and mother. In the chaos of the night, though, Toulouse lost track of Berlioz and was left to defend Marie and Duchess to the best of his ability. The most he managed was leaving a set of pin prick scratches on the hand of one of their assailants before he was kicked aside. His head was knocked against a table leg, and he lost consciousness. When he came to, Toulouse was met with horrible news. Berlioz was missing. Not only that, but Duchess had handed their lives over to the Cursed Thorns in order to save them. So on the one hand, they were still alive and wouldn't have harm brought to them with the conditions Duchess had set. On the other hand, they didn't know if Berlioz was still alive or not. He was nowhere to be found within their home, and that knowledge made Toulouse feel terrible. Sure Berlioz wasn't as tough as him, and he was younger than him, but Toulouse would never wish anything terrible to happen to his brother. Though part of Toulouse wanted to leave, to seek help and try to find out if Berlioz had managed to escape, he also didn't want to abandon his mother. So, Toulouse decided to stay put.
