Open to any Thorns; not intending violence but may happen given Malla's temperamental nature))
The large creature was dangerous even to those considered its "allies", being kept under lock and key until needed. Chained to a pillar nestled near the back towering spire the carnotaur lived most her days with nothing to do but grow fat off the offered meat. It almost felt like the smaller creatures were coming to give a peace offering to a baleful god in hopes to spare themselves from such a fate. Even so, it was annoying if not blood boiling to be stuck under the gloomy shadow of the Black Keep, so outings such as this were relished in every aspect.
Iron collar bound about her neck was free from the chains that held her for the time being, allowing the beast to stretch her legs and curb the want to hunt. All too soon such freedom however vague would be snatched away and she would find herself planted right back. Being out in the humid jungle was just like being at home, before the sky fell. The thick vines and ample underbrush mimicked, in its own unique way, the coniferous woodlands the monolith stalked. The arid scent of the musky earth being churned by her wide toed feet added to the myriad smells choking the air.
The smaller creatures were quick to dash away from her slowly moving form, either taking to the safety of the trees or further into the brush. These things, even though they filled with rightful fear, were not her target. No, they would only mimic the carves of meat tossed her way back at the keep and do nothing to quench the hunger for blood. Malla craved something bigger, something..worthy.
She had seen them only once; elephants. They were the only creatures to match her size and, therefore, her strength begged to be tested against them. Perhaps it was a primitive thought but one that brought a satisfaction to the creature it had long been without.
Small crimson eyes slowly followed a small panicking feline as they raced up the boughs far overhead. This was followed by a series of birds fluttering about and crowing angrily at the intrusion. She could also fill the air with her defiance but refrained. For now, her presence alone was enough.
But she wasn't alone. Her small triangular nostrils flared as a new scent filled them. Though, it wasn't new. It belonged to one of her so called "allies". A babysitter perhaps? Large head slowly turned towards the scent's direction and the short strong jaws attached parted to show twin rows of teeth, a long breathy hiss gargled between the hairline void. Would they show themselves or cower as things should before such a creature?
