She has a noticeably large, fluffy tail like a squirrel's, and her ears are tufted. Her left ear tip has been torn off, though. She has a white blaze marking on her nose and her left front paw is tipped white. She also has a scar on her belly. the personality overall personality • Sassy, feisty, and a bit of a stubborn thing. Recent developments in her life have left her feeling as though she hasn't got as many familiar faces to lean on outside her sister, though, and that mixed with desperation to reach out to a part of her family led her to following a certain cat's lead to where she shouldn't have. the history overall history • Born one of two daughters of Firestar, Squirreflight lived a generally happy normal life within ThunderClan for the first few months of her life. She spent her days irritating her mentor Dustpelt and being a bother to older warrior Brambleclaw. Despite being told to stay away from Brambleclaw by her father, she inevitably followed him to a secret meeting with a group of cats from the other Clans and followed him on a journey to the sundrown place. She played a role in helping the Clans get to their new home when their forest was being destroyed, and earned the name Squirrelflight after literally tumbling into the new camp ground for ThunderClan. She eventually started developing feelings for Brambleclaw, but when he refused to listen to her about how she thought that his half brother Hawkfrost wasn't the best cat to be around she started spending more time with Ashfur and considered being with him romantically instead. However, she eventually wound up choosing Brambleclaw over him and didn't think Ashfur would mind too much. She thought that he and she would be able to continue being friends. It turned out later that Leafpool, her sister, was pregnant with Crowfeather's kittens and StarClan came to badger Squirrelflight into taking the kits as her own. She refused at first, but after enough badgering from both Leafpool and StarClan (and being told that she wouldn't be able to have kittens of her own) Squirrelflight eventually accepted them. She took Lionkit, Jaykit, and Hollykit back to ThunderClan with her alongside Leafpool after the three were born and convinced Brambleclaw and the rest of ThunderClan that they were hers. She raised them as her own children and loved them dearly. It was during a fire that struck ThunderClan that Ashfur threatened the three's lives and Squirrelflight was forced to reveal the truth to save them. They weren't her kittens. She loved them despite that, but she already could feel them slipping from her with the truth revealed. When Hollyleaf revealed the truth of their parentage at a gathering, Squirrelflight stood steadfastly by Leafpool and defended her choice to lie to everyone. She never once mentioned that StarClan forced her into taking on the role of mother for Lionblaze, Jayfeather, and Hollyleaf. The result was inevitable. Brambleclaw rejected her, giving her the cold shoulder and treating her miserably as her standing within ThunderClan fell apart. Squirrelflight did believe she made the right choice, even if it was at StarClan's behest, because she had wanted to protect her sister at the end of the day. That didn't stop Leafpool from being demoted from her medicine cat position, of course, but Squirrelflight stood by her nonetheless. Still, as days went on, Squirrelflight felt the cold shoulder from her clanmates grow increasingly cold. She continued to try and do her best for her Clan, even when the world shifted and Ivypool went to join the Enchanted Suns. Feeling as though doing so would help her standing among her clanmates, and maybe get her away from Brambleclaw's icy treatment, she volunteered to join the Enchanted Suns as well. In doing so, she allowed herself to be open to what happened next. Ashfur appeared to her and told her that he could lead her to Hollyleaf. By then, Squirrelflight had been convinced that Hollyleaf was dead since that had been what Lionblaze and Jayfeather had told the rest of the Clan. Naturally, Squirrelflight wanted the chance to see her adoptive daughter again. Even if there was the chance that Hollyleaf would hate her the same way Squirelflight was convinced the majority of ThunderClan did. She hesitated for a moment, but only a moment before agreeing to follow Ashfur's lead. Doing so sealed her fate.
