((Open to all Suns, takes place at night. Kiara is disturbed and wants someone to know about it.))
It was night and boy was it obvious it was night. The moon hung in a crescent shape above their heads, the snow falling delicately, not ready for a full blown snowfall. She normally would like it. While it was freezing outside now, Kiara had her nice warm den to retreat to when she got too cold. But normally she was seeking the wisdom or just the beauty of the Great Kings and Queens of the past. Now that they were gone it seemed, what was there to look at?
Without the small fires of the humans, the forest would have been pitch black. She slid down the stones, landing in the wet grass beneath her. Her maw parted slightly. How had nobody said anything about the stars being gone? Weren't they scared? If the stars were blocked off was there no place to go when they died? Old kings to help protect the kingdom? And why was nobody concerned? Adults said it was clouds but in her heart Kiara knew it wasn't clouds covering the sky. When it was clouds, the moon was covered too. She wasn't a fool. She knew something was wrong.
Deciding to be Kiara obnoxious, as her brothers would call it, she lept on top of a wooden box close to the center of camp. If she was going to be queen she would have to learn to address what was being ignored.
"Excuse me!" She yelled. Her voice shook a bit. "Is anybody concerned the sky is dark? Why haven't we said anything out loud about it!" As she shouted she quickly realized that she might have not been the only one to notice. The people might just not have said anything.
"Uh and if...anyone like...has noticed, it'd be nice to hear about it." She straightened up and nodded her head. "By order of the future queen! Uh please?"
