"Wait a minute. You want us to... cause trouble?"
Kopa's ears fell back against his skull. He didn't really like the idea, if he was being honest. It seemed like Fuli did, based on what she'd said, but it didn't sound like this was going to end well. For a while, Kopa fell quiet. He let the others around him speak and only took in what was being said as he tried to process what was happening. They were going to be doing something bad if everyone agreed. But the Thorns were bad, and they had done things to hurt their fellow soldiers. The older ones, of course, and that apparently had included Violet he was realizing. His gaze shifted from one individual to another. Tiifu had wanted to act as Kiara's representative. The pretty brown cub that Kion had brought to them was asking what was going on and if their grandfather knew. Kion was explaining, and Taiwo... okay, Kopa could get behind his idea. Just putting bugs where they didn't belong.
Still... Kopa didn't like the idea of causing trouble. What if they got caught? What if the Thorns decided to try and hurt them for messing with them? His breath caught in his throat, and he almost didn't realize that things seemed to have gone quiet for a beat. When he did feel like things were quiet again, he felt for a moment like he'd been put on the spot. Gurri was his best friend. She really wanted to do this.
And yet...
"I... I don't know, Gurri," Kopa stammered. "We could get in really big trouble. Especially if the adults don't know what we're doing. I-I know the Thorns stole from us, but..." He didn't want to make anyone upset. Kion had sounded like he really was invested in this idea. Like he wanted to make the Thorns feel some of the anguish that the Suns had.
His shoulders were hunched upward a bit as his head ducked down. The conflict in his heart was just mounting further and further with each passing moment. He didn't want to do this! But they had to do something to get back at the Thorns, didn't they?
