Judy Hopps the basics full name • Judy Hopps nicknames • Carrots age • Twenty-four years old primary standing • Police Officer secondary standing • Undercover investigator on the trail of the Gilded Wings faction • Unaffiliated species • Rabbit gender • Female sexuality • Probably Bi the appearance origin • Zootopia height and weight • 2'6" / 20lbs overall appearance • A small anthropomorphic bunny; Judy nonetheless carries herself with a presence that more than makes up for her diminutive size. She has grey fur, lighter around her muzzle, chest and paws than elsewhere, and darker at the tips of her often-erect ears, while her violet eyes speak of intelligence. While, around Zootopia, she would often be seen wearing a police uniform, her current undercover role sees her in casual clothes more often; simple, unassuming shirts and jeans. the personality overall personality • She might be a bunny; but if you expected Judy Hopps to conform to the species stereotype, you'd be in for a rude surprise. Judy is, in fact, anything but; as a passionate individual with dreams of making the world a better place, she is tenacious, bold, and doesn't know the meaning of backing down from a challenge. When the whole world told her that a bunny couldn't be a cop? Judy went ahead and proved them wrong. Though she has had to fight for every sliver of respect she could get, when her mind is set to something, Judy will simply keep on at it, no matter how much effort it costs her. She's enthusiastic, eternally optimistic, and has a desire to help everyone that can sometimes get her taken advantage of. While she will determinedly uphold the law, she's also not above bending it a little for the greater good. Although in the past, she has been known to fall into the trap of stereotypes herself, nowadays Judy's worldview is much less black and white, knowing that animals are not always what they seem or look like, and she does her utmost to treat all species equally. the history overall history • Though she was one of many brothers and sisters, Judy was always a bunny to stand out in the crowd. Even as a child, she just wouldn’t stay down; she had big dreams, dreams of becoming a police officer, and she didn’t know when to quit. The words of nay-sayers like Gideon Grey only spurred the young bunny on, and her tenacity proved to pay off; Judy not only made it into the police academy, but graduated top of her class, becoming Zootopia’s very first bunny cop. Which… was not as easy from that point out as it sounded. Assigned to parking duty, it took a stroke of luck – and good timing on the part of Assistant Mayor Bellwether – to land Judy a case at all. Woefully under-equipped, and with her whole career staked on solving the case, Judy (and her reluctant informant turned partner, con artist fox Nick Wilde) was nonetheless able to solve the disappearance of not only Emmit Otterton, but all the other missing mammal cases at the same time. Her job secured and her life’s goal validated, Judy was just about on top of the world. Until the press conference. Without really thinking about the implications of what she was saying, Judy put her foot firmly in her mouth by linking the ‘savage’ animals’ behaviour to their predatory nature; not only driving Nick away from her, but causing a massive rift between traditionally predatory and prey animals across the entire city. Over the following weeks and months, Judy struggled to keep the peace alongside her fellow cops, all the while growing to realise just how badly she’d damaged the world that she’d set out hoping to make a better place. Eventually, it became too much; when Bellwether suggested painting her as a hero for the scared prey masses, Judy turned in her badge and resigned. It was only once she was working back on her parents’ carrot farm that Judy hit upon the truth of what had been happening to the savage predators. The so-called ‘Night Howlers’ were flowers, and it was them that had been turning the predators savage. Racing back to Zootopia, she begged for Nick’s help once again; and the two followed the Night Howler trail to the lab where the serum was being developed. Despite blowing up the railway car in the ensuing chase, and even in spite of Bellwether’s best efforts as the mastermind behind the whole plot, Judy and Nick revealed her guilt and turned the serum over to the police. An antidote was developed, Judy was reinstated to her place with the police, and Nick joined the force alongside her as her official partner. The occurrence of the worlds merging, of the war starting, of course caught Judy's attention; but as much as she might wish she could do something, she was tied down to her post in Zootopia. Tensions were high, and the new mayor feared that, if Zootopia's citizens started taking sides, violence could spread throughout their beloved city. All cops were called upon to take up extra patrols, to make sure the peace was kept and no-one was trying to stir up trouble on behalf of either army... the force couldn't spare anyone to head out to war. At least... until a new band of criminals reared their heads. The Gilded Wings were something of a mystery, their role and agenda not entirely clear... but what was known was that they were renegades who bowed to no authority save their own. Even if their presence in Zootopia was minimal, Chief Bogo was determined that they should be investigated and brought to justice; and, with her track record of exposing criminals, Judy was assigned the investigation. Following the group's trail to Corona, Judy ditched her police uniform to, instead, play the part of the concerned citizen looking to ally with the Wings... And, once she discovers the masterminds behind the group, to put an end to their crime spree once and for all. the role player alias • Cheetah age • 27 pronouns • Male other characters • Mulan, Shenzi, Cody, Amelia, Experiment 624, Sunray |
