Typical clothes are a shabby brown tunic, matched with dark pants and a dark red scarf. She and Red have matching streaks painted on their cheeks, making them as a duo. the personality overall personality • Sarcastic and cynical, especially for a girl of such young age; Angry, as her name suggests, has a jaded view of the world and very little trust left to give to it. Just like Red, she's cunning, sneaky and observant... unlike Red, however, Angry is very much a leader between the two of them. She'd not here for anyone's shit, and isn't afraid to let it be known; although, that said, she does have a caring and more gentle side that, for the most part, only Red has ever seen. the history overall history • An orphan for as long as she can remember, Angry has no recollection of parents, or of what may have happened to them; her earliest memories are from Corona's orphanage, and it was here that the youngster developed her cynical view of the world. Too many of the adults tasked with caring for them weren't at all intereted in the well-being of their charges, often wanting to have as little to do with them as possible... and, too, the girl was bullied cruelly by the other kids. It reached a point, around six years of age, when Angry decided to take matters into her own hands; she slipped out of the orphanage one night and didn't return. Life wasn't easy, but she got by, more or less. Angry at first kept to herself, but soon realised she needed help, and would occasionally watch older thieves, learning their tricks. She became a swift and agile girl with a particular talent for slipping out of handcuffs; and, when she met another girl her own age, Angry taught her some of what she'd learned. The other girl, who would come to be known as Red, was similarly alone and far less talkative, and the two children quickly formed a bond, pooling their resources together and becoming an inseparable team with Angry as the spokesperson for them both. Life was still hard, but they had each other. Of course, they could hardly avoid trouble forever; and it found them rather too soon when the girls made the mistake of stealing from the wrong person. A criminal kingpin, the Baron had heard of the two child thieves and had them brought to his castle with the intention of recruiting them. Being surrounded by such wealth, however, Angry couldn't contain herself; she and Red snatched anything that wasn't bolted down and fled before even getting to meet the Baron in person. This was a particularly unwise move; the Baron held long grudges and had an equally long reach, and soon the two girls realised that his men were after them. Desperately, Angry and Red stepped up their game, robbing businesses all through town; their only thought to get enough money to leave Corona - and the Baron's reach - behind forever. Unfortunately, this desperation only got them one thing: caught. Their heists went smoothly as anything, no-one even saw them coming... until Eugene and Strongbow grew wise to the pattern in their method and laid a trap for them. The two were tasked by the king with reforming the young thieves; and that was something that Angry had no interest in whatsoever. Being 'reformed', for her, meant going back to the orphanage, and she was never going there again - and nor would she put Red through it either. Besides, even if he wouldn't let them escape, Eugene just wanted to get them off his hands, same as every other adult they'd ever crossed paths with... so why make it easy for him? Only... He started to seem like he didn't? The newly-nicknamed Angry was honestly stumped... he took them to see the princess of Corona, he genuinely wanted to help them pick up their lives and start over? No-one had ever seen any kind of promise in her before, and Angry had no clue what to think. But it felt... kinda nice. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad to co-operate with him, to see... where that would lead. Not to commit, necessarily, but... That thought was abandoned the moment when, late that night, she saw one of the Baron's men sneaking through the palace courtyard. He'd found them; and she remembered what Eugene had said about the Baron, that he never stopped coming after those who had wronged him. In Angry's mind, they had no choice: they had to get out of Corona, now, and the only way to do that was to steal the one thing that would cover the rest of their travel costs - Rapunzel's crown. Even as haphazard as the plan was, it might have worked - even in spite of Red's silent protests - if they hadn't run into the very henchman they'd been trying to escape. Captured, their cries drew in Eugene and Lance who, in a move that Angry simply couldn't comprehend, bartered themselves away for the girls' freedom. Confused and scared, the girls nonetheless did as Eugene instructed and fled the scene... and Angry was all for taking that the next step and following through with their plan to flee Corona completely. They had the money, they could just make it before the last boat left... freedom was within their grasp... and if Red wasn't happy with the situation? Neither was Angry, entirely, but they had to look out for themselves first, right? Only, Red had other ideas. Pointing out how Eugene and Lance were the only people... ever... who hadn't turned their backs on them was all the persuasion Angry needed to listen to her already-niggling conscience. The two girls, using one of Eugene's own old tricks, staged an ambush / rescue that saw the Baron's men locked in their own prison wagon and Eugene and Lance freed. While the two girls turned down Eugene's offer of a chance to change, they nonetheless made a point of returning everything they'd stolen. Even if the Baron wasn't entirely off their backs... there were other ways to get out of Corona. The duo hopped a hay cart heading out of the city, seeking somewhere they could live without fear of the Baron's pursuit. When the worlds merged, it just gave them even more options, as far as Angry could see. They could go anywhere, start over afresh wherever they wanted... and even if Red began to be troubled by word of the war spreading? Angry was convinced that if they kept away from it, it would keep away from them. There was no point getting involved just to help adults who - aside from exactly two who might not even be involved - would sooner ignore them than look at them. All the same, Red persisted that they ought to try and help, if for no other reason than other kids like them might be caught in the middle of it all. Still not entirely happy with the idea, Angry nonetheless agreed that they might look into helping... in their own way. Finding a Snuggly Duckling pub on their travels, the two girls heard whisper of a group of thieves called the Gilded Wings who were using their thievery to help the people, and Red was insistent that they should join. It still took some persuading, but at length Angry gave in, and the pair made to sign themselves up. the Role play sample the role player alias • Cheetah age • 27 pronouns • Male other characters • Mulan, Cody, Shenzi, Amelia, Experiment 624, Sunray, Judy, Dr. Facilier, Tiifu |
