(Closed to Duchess and Dragon)
Duchess had become quite familiar with the layout of the Black Keep. In some ways it had become a second home to the aristocrat, as disheartening as that fact may be. Its many patrons, once nameless, now sprouted titles into her head as she passed by. Even the cold cobblestone floors didn't nip at her soft pads as they used to. The matriarch wasn't sure if this should make her thankful or despondent. In either case, nothing but calm determination framed the feline's features. For this evening she was not here to discuss the transition of funds nor even to barter for time with Madame. No, instead her pristine body contorted through the hallways toward a different yet equally important destination.
Though, in all honesty, the Angora knew not where this specific target was currently located. Thus she had been working her way up the keep slowly whilst poking her petite head in any ajar doors that didn't deny her access. In any case that a room was occupied that didn't hold the specific tom she had been seeking then Duchess would bow graciously and excuse herself onto the next. A less coddled feline could have perhaps tracked or scented the whereabouts of a peer, but these skills were ones that an aristocrat like herself did not possess. One of many reasons that she was doing this in the first place. The biggest being the sudden disappearance of the stars.
She remembered the event vividly. It had startled and frightened her. Already the estate felt like a cage, and now it didn't even feel like a safe cage. And what of Berlioz? What had her poor gentleman endured alone? Try as she might to search it always ended the same. That is why during these past few days, for the first time in her life, Duchess regretted the soft path she had taken. But regret did nothing for the present. Thus today, after tucking her kits snugly into bed, the mother set out toward the keep. And now she searched despite her doubt and anxieties. Room after room until finally the unmistakable hulking figure of the brown-grey tom fell within the Angora's large sapphire gaze.
She hesitated for only a second before calling, "Monsieur Dragon?" A sound akin to the chime of tiny bells.
